Barefoot Bunz
Did she say SQUATS! This cardiovascular class is expertly infused with various movements adopted from all our classes here at IXL: dance aerobics, kickboxing, calisthenics, yoga postures and Pilates Core, with a hint of Latté Berk. Combine them all with the barefoot training method deeply rooted and borrowed from ancient martial arts and you've got one powerful group fitness class! |
Cardio Choice
In this Saturday morning class you'll have the opportunity to experience the talent and uniqueness of all of our fitness instructors from week to week as they deliver in their own individual style a variety of cardiovascular and strengthening exercise routines that finish with a relaxing stretch and cool down. Experience the individual talents, styles and expertise of all of our group fitness team. |
Excelling Over 50
A 60 minute low-impact aerobic class designed for the mature IXL member. Class begins with a gradual warm-up that will lead members gently into varying strengthening exercises followed with an aerobic conditioning segment. |
XCEL Kick & Abs
This calorie burning, total-body workout can improve strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination, and balance. With a combination of high intensity kicking routines, upper body punching drills and a finishing segment of challenging abdominal work, this class will help you increase your stamina, coordination and strength. Try Kick n' Sculpt for a combination martial arts and strength training workout! |
Pilates
This mat class is a series of floor exercises designed to re-align and strengthen your body with concentration on your abdominal muscles or "core". Your first class might concentrate on breathing and posture, and when you are prepared your trainer will gradually move you into the exercises. |
XCEL Cycle
Experience the thrill of the race and a personal victory like no other. Each individual body seeks a steady rhythm while the power of music helps to assist in finding that rhythm. Explore your inner strengths in this easy to follow and highly motivating heart pounding cycling class. Sign up required. |
XCEL Endurance Lift
A barbell strengthening program designed to develop muscular endurance. Each major group is "under load" for a period of 4 to 5 minutes and brought to fatigue. |
XCEL Pyramid Lift
A barbell strengthening program designed to develop muscular strength. By utilizing the Pyramid Method of strength training, each muscle group is brought to fatigue using a "heavy load" and fewer repetitions. This is a true power class to build lean muscle mass. |
XCEL Intervals
Intervals that excel! By utilizing the body's two energy producing systems, the aerobic and anaerobic systems, this class alternates short bursts of intense activity with segments of active recovery. Set your own limits in this calorie burning class. |
XCEL Sculpt
An intense total body strengthening and sculpting class utilizing multiple resistance tools such as free weights, tubing, and barbells. Build lean muscle mass and reshape body! |
Low Impact
Enjoy all the benefits of a traditional style floor aerobics class without placing stress on your knees or back. Loose weight, increase stamina, and reduce your stress level in this fun calorie burning class. |
Will Power & Grace
A high energy cardiovascular mosaic of dance principles, callisthenic drills, and yogic postures based on functional training philosophy. Leave your shoes at home. Barefoot training methods help strengthen your feet and correct imbalances in your ankles, knees and hips, helping you stand taller, walk with greater confidence, and function with the new strength that you have learned to harness. |
Yoga
Originating in India several thousand years ago, Yoga is a method of learning that aims to attain the unity of mind, body, and spirit through the three main Yoga structures: exercise, breathing and meditation. We offer several styles of yoga: our Gentle Yoga class will guide you through the three structures in an easier and less strenuous approach, whereas Active Yoga offers a greater challenge to participant's strength , flexibility and endurance. Flow Yoga, a more dynamic minyasa style, offers poses that flow into one another connected by the breath. Restorative Yoga is more specific to the individual needs of the class members with attention to previous injuries and/or special needs. Special attention will be given to proper alignment of poses. |
Zumba
A fun and easy "feel-happy" workout. A fusion of Latin and International music and dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. |
Zumba Gold
What you have come to love about Zumba is now designed specifically for the active, adult population (55+) as well as the true Zumba beginner! Zumba gold addresses the anatomical and physiological needs specific to the active adult population. |
Dance Fusion
Salsa, Hip Hop, Jazz...You got it! This class covers it all at an upbeat aerobic rate! A great full body workout for anyone who likes to let loose and have fun while they work up a sweat. Great for all levels. |
Step it UP
A total body cardio and strengthening class that utilizes the step as well as multiple resistance tools for a fun calorie burning workout. |
